Spent a magical time at Eastcroft Roses in Rochester today buying roses for a community project in Catford and had the BEST time! I think I may have found my true calling! When I grow up I want to run a rose nursery nestled in beside corn and wheat fields.
Sometimes the planning research stage is the most fun part of project management….on the morning train happily circling items in glossy plant catalogues while everyone else flicks through bad news in the Metro; but being on the ground at a properly run nursery is the best.
I selected the Eastcroft Roses team ( which includes Ted the Dog) after a heck of a lot of research and they were so great in person. Even after a hectic weekend at Blenheim Flower Show, the team could not have been more helpful.
They have a terrific selection of good-looking plants, well worth popping up the A2 to see them- or catch them at The RHS Hampton Court Flower Show, 5-10 July. I left them with just enough roses to fill their stall! Only a slight exaggeration!
