Dementia Action Week in Catford South

0

Catford South is taking steps to becoming the first fully accredited Dementia Friendly Community in Lewisham
We want: to increase awareness of dementia and people living with dementia to remain active and valued members of the Catford South community

The 21st – 27th of May is Dementia Action week – Unite and Take ACTION
This Dementia Action Week the Alzheimer’s Society is asking everyone to come together and take actions big or small that will improve the everyday lives of people affected by dementia. In the UK, one person develops dementia every three minutes.
What Can You do?

Simply… Continue to invite a person with dementia out
Ask if someone needs help if they look unsure
Become a dementia friend here and wear a dementia friends badge
Fundraise for Alzheimer’s Society, ideas here
Small actions have a big impact and everyone can play their part
