The Positive Ageing Council – Funding for older people’s groups


The Positive Ageing Council has a limited pot of funding available to help organisations working with older people in the borough. Grants of up to £500 are available.

Applications for the 2016–17 small resource open on 5 September and close on 16 October 2016 at 11pm.

What can you apply for funding for?

The Positive Ageing Council small resource grant is to help smaller clubs and organisations develop further.

This year’s focus will be on helping to resource organisations with items they require or would find useful to benefit older members.

Over the years we have had some fantastic bids for this amount, ranging from providing a dementia clock, tablet computers, tea urns and exercise sessions.

Importan​t information about applying

This fund is for resources only and the Positive Ageing Council will not consider applications for one-offf trips, building works or building improvements, general ‘core’ running costs for clubs, or costs for staff.

This fund is not open to individuals, so please apply through your group or club. We expect to be oversubscribed, so unfortunately not all applications will be successful. For further funding opportunities, please look into funding from your local ward assembly.
