HACAN East Community Campaign – Have you noticed an increase in aircraft noise over the past year?

Are you concerned about the levels of noise pollution and air pollution in your area and wider London? We’d like to hear from you!

HACAN East is a campaign group made up of concerned residents from East London and South East London mainly concerned about the impact of London City Airport. Some of us, though, live under the flight paths of both London City and Heathrow airports. We are the sister organisation of HACAN (Heathrow Association for the Control of Aircraft Noise).

In February 2017 London City Airport decided to concentrate its flight paths which has led to a flood of complaints from frustrated, angry residents across East and South-East London (as shown in the image). We are encouraging everyone who has been affected to let your councillors, MPs, the Civil Aviation Authority and London City Airport know exactly what it feels like to live under the flight paths and to demand the flights are more evenly spread out across London to allow for some respite.

Please email our Community Campaigner Amina at amina.minky@gmail.com if you would like to be a part of the campaign, meet with others facing this issue and come together to push for change in Catford.
