Free Film Screening St Laurence Church Catford in 1968

Time: 5pm and 7.30pm,
Place: St Laurence Church, Bromley Road
St Laurence Church and Centre, with assistance from Heritage Lottery and Lewisham Arts Festival Funds, hosted a young person’s performance about Catford in 1968 – the year the church was built, which was directed by Outburst Theatre, a local theatre company that works with young people.
The performance was very successful – lots of local people came to watch, and many others participated.
We have now had a film made by a professional film maker about the making of the performance, and with lots of excerpts from the show. There are also interviews with the local people who took part and the young people.
The film will be screened at St Laurence Church this Thursday, Feb 28th at 5pm and 7.30pm, in partnership with Catford Film Festival. They will also screen a another short film suitable for young people to round off the occasion.
