Back the Bakerloo in Catford this weekend – spreading the word

Back the Bakerloo in Catford this weekend – spreading the word

#BacktheBakerloo are going to be going to Catford Food Market this Sunday 28 July to talk about the Bakerloo Line Extension and gather support for our Back the Bakerloo campaign to make it happen.

The most exciting transport improvement in south east London is on the brink of coming to Southwark and Lewisham.

The Mayor of London has committed to extending the Bakerloo line through Southwark and Lewisham. This will dramatically improve transport links, relieving the load on the bus and overground network, and making the wider area more accessible than it’s ever been before.

But it’s not just about travel – the extension will also deliver thousands of new homes and jobs. It will boost the local economy and bring huge benefits to residents and businesses.

What could we get by backing the Bakerloo?

  • A train every few minutes from Catford, Ladywell, Lewisham and New Cross straight to the heart of central London – and connecting seamlessly with every other London Underground line.
  • Lewisham directly to Oxford Circus in just 18 minutes, compared to 34 today
  • No more waiting for ages at London Bridge for a Catford train.
  • Providing capacity for 60,000 people ever morning peak
  • Helping unlock thousands of new jobs and genuinely affordable homes
  • It’s a fantastic opportunity, but its not assured

We need your support to help secure the funding and powers needed to build the line

I see you want the Bakerloo in Catford and Lewisham Surely you need the Dogsloo here in view of all the dogdirt in the area. You also want feedback. How mucky can Catfordites get.
