The way assemblies fund local priorities is changing ‘NCIL’ FUNDING IS HERE!
At this meeting we will be hearing more about how these changes will affect your ward, how to apply for NCIL funding and agreeing our local priorities together.
What is the Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy (NCIL)?
When new building projects take place in Lewisham developers are usually charged a fee – this is called the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). This money is spent on improvements to the environment or services in the borough, such as changes to road layouts, better lighting for safety or more trees to help improve air quality. There is now funding for each ward in Lewisham– including your ward – Catford South
Tell us how you want the money to be spent in your local area by adding your ideas to the map or coming along to the meeting
This could be…
Doing up a local community centre
Activities for young people
Building a community garden
Projects supporting isolated older adults
You can add your ideas, priorities and issues to our map until midnight on Monday 17 February 2020.
Access the map here: https://catfordsouthwardassembly.commonplace.is or come along to the meeting.
